at UNT on the Square
The Exhibition Spotlight on UNT Fashion and Watercolor was held at
UNT on the Square from October 6 – 27, 2010.
Gallery hours are 9 am-12 noon & 1 pm-5 pm Mondays through Fridays, with extended hours until 8 pm on Thursdays, and 11 am-3 pm on Saturdays.
The exhibition is free.

Visions of Style at NorthPark Center
The Texas Fashion Collection is was featured at NorthPark Center in a photo mural display outside of Barney’s on the first level. The College of Visual Arts and Design at The University of North Texas, sponsored this display to reach thousands of visitors. Designed by Marlon Banks and photography by Joe Barentine.

Child’s Play: A Children’s Fashion Story

The exhibition presented a social and historical look at childhood fashion overtime, beginning with the post-Civil War era and continuing through The Great Depression. Featured in the exhibition were girls’ party dresses, several boys’ outfits and many other children’s wear treasures from the Texas Fashion Collection and from the private collection of Steven Porterfield, owner of the Cat’s Meow in Midland, Texas. This exhibition was curated by Dawn Figueroa, TFC Collection Manager. The exhibition took place at Fashion on Main in the Universities Center at Dallas from February 19 through May 7, 2010.
