Chartered by the State of Texas in 1972 as a nonprofit 501(c)3
corporation, the University of North Texas Foundation, Inc. is governed
by a 25-member elected Board of Directors.
There are two major committees of the board, the Executive and
the Investment committees. It is the Investment Committee that is
charged with monitoring the investment performance of the portfolio.
It meets with the investment consultant on a quarterly basis to
review and discuss portfolio performance, which includes personal
contact with each money manager at least annually, and a thorough
review of market conditions, manager performance, asset allocation
and any other situations that may impact the ability of the portfolio
to perform as expected. The Board of Directors reviews recommendations
from the Investment Committee and makes final decisions regarding
the Investment Policy.
