RDC User Fees

Researchers will be charged for creation and maintenance of data files, the maintenance of computer  

facilities (including both hardware and software),any equipment rental, and the staff time necessary for supervision and disclosure review.

File creation fees

• There is a minimum setup charge of $500 per day. An additional $500 per day is charged as needed for file creation and for special handling, such as merging in additional data or creating custom file formats.
• Changes to the original proposal or more complex  projects may require discussion between the researcher and RDC staff to determine the cost of creating the files.

On site fees

• $200 per day
• Time on-site in the RDC can be scheduled in daily increments but the minimum reservation is 2 consecutive days.
• Scheduling time at the RDC is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Remote access fees

• $500 per month for the survey cycle
• $250 per month for each additional survey cycle

Census fees

• Census RDC fees are determined by the individual Census RDC. Please contact the Census RDC of interest to receive an estimate.

Payment

We accept institutional checks, personal checks, and money orders. We do not accept purchase order or credit card payments. Make checks payable to:

               DHHS for Statistical Services

For a personal check, please write your name and Social Security number on the comment line. For an institutional check, please list the institutional Employer Identification Number (EIN) and your name on the comment line so we can link your payment with our invoice.

Payment must be received seven business days before the scheduled start date.
