Under Colorado law, the only Casino Games which may be played in Colorado are poker, blackjack (21), and slot machines, and approved variations of these. There is a maximum wager limit of five dollars per bet.

Applications for approval of new table game variations may be submitted to the Division. The application fee is $2,000 and is non-refundable.

The Division issues the following types of licenses. ALL licenses require a background check and application fee, contact the division for details. (12-47-101, et.seq., C.R.S.)
OPERATOR license for owner of slot machines.
RETAILER license for operator of limited gaming establishment.
SUPPORT STAFF license for dealers, counter help, shills (someone hired to play on behalf of the establishment) cashiers and staff having contact with the gaming aspects of the business.
KEY EMPLOYEES license for employees having supervisory responsibilities
MANUFACTURER/DISTRIBUTOR license for businesses involved in the manufacture of gaming devices and paraphernalia.
DISTRIBUTOR license for businesses involved in the sale and distribution of gaming devices and paraphernalia.
