The Integrated Biomolecular Resources (IBR) is a multidisciplinary component of Core Technologies at the Eastern Regional Research Center. The IBR supports ARS genomic and proteomic project research through the application of molecular genetics and proteomics-biopolymer mass spectrometry. Its focus is to utilize molecular biology techniques with state of the art instrumentation for the elucidation of genetic determinants, proteins, peptides, and metabolic processes in agriculturally relevant microbes, plants, and animals. In addition, technical assistance and expertise are provided to assist investigators in project design, development, and data analysis. The IBR supports research involving genomics and proteomics projects implemented through the National Programs within the Agricultural Research Service.
