Ambassador hosts a holiday party for kids from 5 different orphanages
For the fourth time during his tenure, Ambassador Garza offered a Christmas reception in his residence for underprivileged and orphaned children. Over 150 boys and girls from government and private shelters enjoyed hotdogs, Christmas cookies and candy, as well as a miniature train ride set up in the residence especially for them.
Ambassador Garza played with the children and helped them break the piñata. As in previous years, Santa Claus arrived with toys donated by the Embassy community and the Marine detachment.
