Employment Opportunities

THIS SECTION LISTS ACTIVE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE FOR AMERICAN CITIZENS, USPSCS, LOCAL HIRES AND FSNS.

The USAID/Kenya Mission staff consists of US Foreign Service (FS) employees, US Personal Services Contractor (USPSC) employees, Foreign Service National (FSN) employees and a few Third Country Nationals.

USAID/Kenya only recruits for a few internationally-advertised and locally-advertised USPSC vacant positions, as well as locally-advertised FSNPSC vacant positions.  Some of the vacancies are restricted to Mission employees only and are thus not posted here.  Whenever vacancies are open for external candidates, they are posted here and also advertised in the local newspapers and the Roar.  Resumes for Kenyans are not retained unless submitted in reference to a specific active vacancy announcement that is posted on this website.

A list of all active vacancies, if any, is provided below.  The vacancy announcement for each active vacancy is also included and contains all relevant details, e.g., basic functions of the position, major duties and responsibilities, qualifications, deadline for application, etc.  To read a vacancy announcement, click on its title in the list below.
