Modernization Initiative Overview
The FFIEC Call Report Agencies (FDIC, FRB and OCC) have contracted to build a Central Data Repository (CDR) for the collection, validation, and distribution of Consolidated Reports of Condition and Income (Call Reports: FFIEC 031 and 041) data submitted by banks.
The October 2005 implementation of the CDR marks a revolution in the way that Call Report data are collected, validated, managed, and distributed.
The CDR implementation plan was developed in cooperation with industry representatives including software vendors, trade associations, and a number of banks from across the country that participate in the Financial Institutions Focus Group for the CDR project. The plan ensured a smooth integration of the new technology into the Call Reporting process.
