Major Actions Taken to Date: |
- The Department of Defense (DoD) obligated $86.7M during the week ending May 8, 2009, bringing the cumulative obligation of Recovery Act funds to $275.0M. The $275.0M in obligations represent 3.7% of all DoD Recovery Act Funds received and reflect over 300 contracts to non-Federal vendors. Of the contracts awarded, over 80% of the dollars were awarded to small businesses.
- The Army obligated $13.9M this week for multiple Facilities Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (FSRM) projects at Fort Eustis, VA and Fort Riley, KS.
- The Department of the Navy obligated $23.3M this week for a cumulative obligation total of $66.5M, which is 5.4% of the total Navy Recovery Act funds. Contracts awarded include two FSRM projects for wharf repairs at Naval Station Pearl Harbor, HI for $22.0M.
- The Air Force obligated $48.9M this week for a cumulative obligation total of $161.0M which is 10.5% of all Air Force Recovery Act Funds. All of the contracts awarded during the week were for FSRM projects.
- The Department is continuing to work with the Office of Management and Budget on the final version of our Agency and Program Plans which are due on May 15.

Major Planned Actions: |
- The Department plans to finalize guidance on execution of the Homeowners Assistance Program and submit it to the Office of Management and Budget.
