CS Portugal Student Internship Program

"The Mission of the Commercial Service is to promote exports of goods and services from the United States, particularly by small and medium-sized businesses, and to protect United States business interests abroad."

For over 20 years, the U.S. Commercial Service of the U.S. Department of Commerce has successfully brought together exporters and importers of U.S. goods and services from around the world. Our teams of more than 1,800 trade professionals in 105 U.S. cities and 151 U.S. Embassies, Consulates and Trade Centers all over the globe are trained to help companies navigate the complex international trade process.

Located in the U.S. Embassy in Lisbon, the CS Portugal Office’s objective is to assist, promote and expand US exports to Portugal by developing local contacts, researching market trends and indentifying potential business opportunities for US companies. The Commercial Service provides US companies with a range of services to locate interested buyers, partners, distributors and agents, and advocates on behalf of US companies and interests when they face trade barriers that impede them from conducting business.
