Shuttle Processing Note
Technicians have completed servicing of Atlantis’ ammonia boiler. Orbiter integrated hydraulic system testing concluded earlier this week. Work to close-out the orbiter’s payload bay continues and the payload bay doors are slated for closure on Monday. Shuttle wiring inspections are nearing completion.

Preparation to roll Atlantis out of the OPF is on going. On March 10, Shuttle managers at KSC will gather in a standard meeting to review the orbiter’s readiness for transfer to the Vehicle Assembly Building. The move is currently planned for March 13.

Shuttle Processing Note
Discovery’s life support and environmental control system is undergoing routine servicing this week. Auxiliary power unit installation is complete and connection to the orbiter is planned through next week.

Shuttle Processing Note

Yesterday workers removed the SRTM payload from Endeavour’s payload bay and transported it to the Space Station Processing Facility. There is will undergo inspections and preparation for shipment to the vendor. Technicians will remove the main engine heat shields today and engine removal is scheduled to begin tomorrow. Checks of the orbiter’s forward reaction control system are ongoing.
