Atlantis rolled over to the VAB at about 4:50 a.m.
last Friday. The orbiter was soft mated to the external tank and boosters later
that day and over the weekend workers began electrical and mechanical
connections. On Saturday, technicians started preparations for removal of main
engine No. 1. Heat shield removal is in work today and tomorrow technicians plan
to remove the engine. The replacement engine is scheduled for installation
Wednesday.
The current schedule supports Space Shuttle
Atlantis' planned roll out to Launch Pad 39A on Friday beginning at about 7 a.m.
The SPACEHAB payload is scheduled move out to the launch pad at about midnight
tonight with arrival expected 4 hours later.
