From 1981 to present, Operation Cobra Gold has been an annual exercise designed to improve combat readiness and combined-joint interoperability in the Asia-Pacific region. Cobra Gold involves land, sea, and air forces from the U.S., Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, and other Pacific nations.
