Revised Information Collection; IS-10

In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (Public
Law 104-13)and 5 CFR 1320.5 (a)(I)(iv), this notice announces that OPM
has submitted to the Office of Management and Budget, a request for
clearance of a revised information collection. The Mail Reinterview
Form, IS-10, is completed by individuals who have been interviewed by a
contract investigator during the course of a personnel investigation.
This form, a quality assurance instrument, asks questions regarding the
performance of the investigator.

Corrections of Retirement Coverage Errors Under the Federal
Erroneous Retirement Coverage Corrections Act: Interim rule with request for comments.

The Office of Personnel Management is amending its regulations
to include new rules for correcting certain retirement coverage errors.
We are amending the regulations to implement the provisions of the
Federal Erroneous Retirement Coverage Corrections Act (the FERCCA),
title II of Public Law 106-265. The regulations will allow agencies and
OPM to correct affected retirement coverage errors.

Repayment of Student Loans: Proposed rulemaking.

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is proposing
regulations implementing the Floyd D. Spence National Defense
Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2001, to authorize Federal agencies
to repay federally insured student loans when necessary to recruit or
retain highly qualified personnel.

Proposed Collection; Comment Request for Review of a Revised
Information Collection: Agency Generic Survey Plan

In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (Public
Law 104-13, May 22, 1995), this notice announces that the Office of
Personnel Management (OPM) intends to submit to the Office of
Management and Budget a request for review of a revised information
collection. The Agency Generic Survey Plan will be revised to be an
umbrella clearance for all OPM customer satisfaction surveys used with
OPM programs and services. This Plan satisfies the requirements of
Executive Order 12862 and the guidelines set forth in OMB's ``Resource
Manual for Customer Surveys''.

collection. RI 94-7, Death Benefit Payment Rollover Election for
Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS), provides FERS surviving
spouses and former spouses with the means to elect payment of the FERS
rollover-eligible benefits directly or to an Individual Retirement
Account.

Submission for OMB Review; Comment Request for Reclearance of
Expiring Information Collections: OPM Forms 1496 and 1496A: Notice

In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (Pub.
L. 104-13, May 22, 1995), this notice announces that the Office of
Personnel Management (OPM) intends to submit to the Office of
Management and Budget (OMB) a request for reclearance of an information
collection. OPM Forms 1496 and 1496A, Application for Deferred
Retirement (Separations before October 1, 1956) and Application for
Deferred Retirement (Separations on or after October 1, 1956) are used
by eligible former Federal employees to apply for a deferred Civil
Service annuity. Two forms are needed because there was a major
revision in the law effective October 1, 1956; this affects the general
information provided with the forms.

Proposed Collection; Comment Request for Review of an Expiring
Information Collection: RI 30-10: Notice

In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (Pub.
L. 104-13, May 22, 1995), this notice announces that the Office of
Personnel Management (OPM) intends to submit to the Office of
Management and Budget a request for review of an expiring information
collection. RI 30-10, Disabled Dependent Questionnaire, is used to
collect sufficient information about the medical condition and earning
capacity for the Office of Personnel Management to be able to determine
whether a disabled adult child is eligible for health benefits coverage
and/or survivor annuity payments under the Civil Service Retirement
System or the Federal Employees Retirement System.

L. 104-13, May 22, 1995), this notice announces that the Office of
Personnel Management (OPM) has submitted to the Office of Management
and Budget a request for review of an expired information collection.
Procedures for Submitting Compensation and Leave Claims is used to
collect information from current and former Federal employees who are
submitting a claim for compensation and/or leave. OPM needs this
information in order to adjudicate the claim.
