Lt. Governor Aiona today opens a three-day workshop designed to help minority-owned firms in Hawai`i cross hurdles in their path to securing major contracts with national corporations.
Experts from a key non-profit organization will share their know-how on securing lucrative contracts with corporations such as the Walt Disney Company, Wyndham Worldwide and Johnson Controls Inc., which are all participating in the workshops sponsored by the Northern California Minority Suppliers Development Council and Latin Business Hawai`i.
In Hawai`i, more than 58,000 minority-owned businesses and nearly 30,000 women-owned business, and most are small businesses.
