Infrastructure Planning & Geo-Resources provides for high quality, results oriented, short and long term planning for the citizens of Bernalillo County. In order to fulfill this mission staff must assume a number of responsibilities. These include managing County transportation projects, engaging in several regional forums and studies, developing information systems which are capable of rapidly delivering high quality information in an understandable context, and providing information to the citizenry, other agencies and our superiors upon request. These are difficult tasks in a growing and "urbanizing" county. Transportation planning objectives must balance the need for economic growth and development against the potential environmental, fiscal and social impacts growth often has on urban regions.
