- Data can be selected by a user-defined area of interest.
- File availability is currently limited to individual dates of land cover. Files highlighting change information between various dates are available through the ftp link below only.
- Data are available in multiple projections, but only in GeoTIFF format. It should be noted that GeoTIFF format is not supported in many common geographic information system (GIS) tools.
C-CAP FTP Site
- The ftp distribution is on a state-by-state basis except for areas in the Pacific Islands and Caribbean, which are distributed on a county or territory basis.
- File availability includes individual dates of land cover, as well as files that highlight the type and location of changes between the various dates.
- Data is available in Albers Conical Equal-Area projection and .img format only.
C-CAP Google Earth
- IMPORTANT: For proper display in Google Earth, ensure that in Tools > Options > 3D View > Texture Colors, the Compress option is unchecked, then restart Google Earth.
