Free Trade Agreements (FTAs)

International trade is an integral part of the U.S economy, accounting for more than one-quarter of our gross domestic product and supporting more than 12 million U.S. jobs, including 1 in 5 manufacturing positions.

As of May 14th, 2009, the United States has Free Trade Agreements with 17 countries. These countries include:


Free Trade Agreements have been signed with Korea, Panama and Colombia, however, legislation must be enacted by congress for each country before the FTAs can be enacted.
