Subject: [HealthLiteracy 1944] Undergrads & determinants of health
Importance: High

Hello

Next Fall, I am teaching an undergraduate course that focuses on the
meaning, measurement and determinants of health. Last time, the
course had 35 students from 8-10 disciplines, years 1-5, and ages
16-58. We are teaching a new section limited to 1st and 2nd year
students from multiple departments and faculties. Class activities
include lectures, videos, community guests, fun, community-service
learning projects, and a final exam.

Does anyone know of any books or textbooks that deal with population
health, health promotion, determinants of health and would be
suitable for 1st-year students. (Suggestions for other relevant
age-appropriate resources would also be appreciated)

Thanks Jim
