Research Areas
Berkeley Lab's Environmental Energy Technologies Division perform research and development leading to better energy technologies that reduce adverse energy-related environmental impacts. Its work increases the efficiency of energy use, reduces its environmental effects, provides the nation with environmental benefits, and helps developing nations achieve similar goals through technical advice.
The Division carries out research in advanced energy technologies, atmospheric sciences, energy-efficient building technologies; energy analysis; and indoor environmental quality.
Advanced Energy Technologies
Develops advanced energy technologies for low-cost rechargeable advanced electrochemical batteries, and fuel cells for automotive and stationary applications, as well as cleaner burning combustion, and advanced sensors and controls.
