WHAT'S NEW IN JCSS 9.0 (SET FOR RELEASE IN MARCH 2009)

  • JCSS 9.0 is based on OPNET CORE 15.0
  • Feature Implementation:
    • Re-implementation of IERs
      • Use of OPNET demand objects to configure IER and Thread Traffic
    • VNE Server Import (VNESI)
      • JCSS will provide support for OPNET VNE which allows collects network data from disparate sources, and intelligently merges this information to create a unified network representation that can be used for network planning and analysis, configuration auditing, and change management.
    • Netmapper Support
      • Using VNE users can create content-rich network diagrams in Microsoft Visio
    • Further OPNET Modeler Integration
      • Will allow users to edit links, demands, and path objects in Modeler through the JCSS GUI
    • Further OPNET Wizard Integration
      • JCSS will allow uses to be able to use many of the current OPNET wizards available to users in IT GURU
    • DoDAF Import/Export
      • Will allow users to import information from an OV-3 and SV-6 file
    • New Templates, Capability Scenarios and Contributed models
      • The JCSS Program Office will make continued effort to add to the current template library and develop new capability scenarios that will be shipped with the software
