NATIONAL TEAM OBJECTIVES

• Develop framework for integrated planning and support of long-term strategies that promote a national spectrum plan.
  
• Integrate spectrum planning into DoD requirements and acquisition processes to advance spectrum supportability.
  
• Enable a collaborative strategic planning office environment.
  
• Evaluate national security spectrum access.
  

INTERNATIONAL TEAM OBJECTIVES

• The International Team ensures the DoD is prepared to respond to international spectrum management issues and proposes actions necessary to enhance the DoDs global access to the spectrum.
  
• Develop strategies, regarding spectrum management matters within the purview of the Department of Defense, for presentation to spectrum bodies within international organizations (e.g., The International Telecommunication Union, regional bodies, and North Atlantic Treaty Organization. 
  

EMERGING SPECTRUM TECHNOLOGY (EST) TEAM OBJECTIVES

• Establish and maintain a continuous emerging technology and policy awareness and analysis capability.
  
• Develop/modify policies, regulations, processes and strategies to promote the insertion of effective and efficient spectrum access technologies.
  
• Develop an outreach and engagement program to:
  • Assist in identifying emerging technologies;
  • Form strategic alliances with government, industry, and academia for the purpose of advocating, influencing, and promoting emerging technology and associated policies
