Crowley on Creating a Better Working Environment:- Continues to be a leader to preserve the right of all individuals to organize under unions so all workers can have access to decent benefits, safe working conditions and fair pay.
- Cosponsored and worked to pass legislation that would allow workers to unionize without fear of reprisal from their employers.
- Cosponsored and worked to pass the first increase to the federal minimum wage for the average American worker in over 10 years. The legislation was enacted in July 2007.

- Opposed the repeal of Davis-Bacon laws during recent national disasters.

- Helping to lead the effort to increase access to Trade Adjustment Assistance for workers who have been displaced due to jobs moving offshore.

- Supports increasing unemployment assistance to first responders who can no longer perform their duties as a result of disabilities suffered from the attacks of 9/11.
- Co-sponsor of legislation that would provide more funding to help pay for workers compensation claims for first responders who have been injured as a result of the attacks on September 11, 2001.
