Published: 3/19/2009 On March 19, 2009, the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Oversight held a hearing on the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). Congressman Geoff Davis asked Neil Barofsky, Special Inspector General for TARP, and Acting Comptroller General Gene Dodaro questions about the oversight of taxpayer dollars for bailouts. Congressman Davis' questions focused on whether these watchdogs have access to the necessary information to track where and how bailout funds are being spent.
