The purpose of this document is to serve as an information and technology transfer tool on intersection safety practices used by State, regional and local transportation officials for the benefit of motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists. It is hoped that the distribution of this report will increase interest in intersection safety and encourage transportation officials to institute the various activities and treatments (or a variation thereof) contained within this document.
