 Major Actions Taken to Date:
  • Cumulatively DoD has obligated $22,125.9 thousand.
  • This week Navy awarded five Facility Sustainment Restoration and Modernization (FSRM) projects totaling $7,880K. These include Replacing Roof Mounted Boilers on Bachelor Quarters (BQ) 3144 & 3150, Naval Station San Diego, CA, $884K; Replace Metal Roof, BQ, Naval Air Station North Island, CA, $637K; Replace Fire Detection Devices, BQ Building 72, NSA, Washington, DC, $1,024K; Replace Elevators #37 and #40 Building 171, Norfolk Navy Shipyard, VA, $1,835K; and Replace Heat, Ventilation and Air Conditioner and Modernize Boorda Hall BQ Complex, Buildings 3-34, Naval Station Great Lakes, IL $3,500K (in-house).
  • This week the first Air Force projects were awarded for $1,798K. These include $871K for Repair Asphalt Overruns at Gila Bend Air Force Auxiliary Field, AZ; $607K for Mill and Overlay overruns Runway 03R/21L at Luke AFB, AZ; $190K for Runway Repair at McChord AFB, WA; and $130K for correction of an airfield obstruction at Tyndall AFB, FL.
  • This week Navy obligated $8,647 thousand to the Naval Facilities Engineering Command for pre/post award contract support for 25 projects.
 Major Planned Actions:
  • Navy plans to award at least 1 FSRM project next week. This project is for Parking Garage Repairs, NMIC, Suitland, MD, $5,600 thousand.
  • Air Force has 167 Military Family Housing Operations & Maintenance FSRM projects being readied for contract obligation award. Many of these projects will be awarded in the next 2 weeks.
  • Army's first Military Construction project award (Ft Bliss, Warrior Transition Complexes, $57,000K) is in the final stages of the source selection process. Award is expected shortly.
  • All services are gathering data in preparation for the 30 Apr submittal of the second report to the White House Council on Environmental Quality on National Environmental Protection Act/National Historic Preservation Act requirements.
  • DoD is finalizing our Homeowner's Assistance Program guidance and expects to publicly announce those guidelines soon.
  • DoD will submit our second FSRM project list for the balance of the remaining projects to Congress.
