 Major Actions Taken to Date:
  • International Water and Boundary Commission (IBWC): Committed $1,950,000 for aerial survey (lidar) of Canalization and Rectification segments in the Upper Reach
  • IBWC: Awarded Purchase Request for design of Lateral A to Donna Pump/Retamal Dam segment in the Lower Reach in the amount of $352,276
  • IBWC: Made final award of Purchase Request for geo-technical investigations of the Rectification segment in the Lower Reach in the amount of $612,066
  • Data Center: Met with GSA to develop MOA for engaging GSA services for the acquisition of land and design to build ESOC West Facility. A plan was developed which will be expressed in an MOU whereby GSA will delegate ownership to DOS.
  • Data Center: Initiated fee negotiations with an A&E firm to serve as the Government Representative in future Data Center design and acquisition activities. These services will be acquired via an existing Department IDIQ contract.
  • Hard Skills Training Center (HSTC): Met with GSA General Counsel and reached agreement on ownership of of HSTC and conveyance of unfettered use of the facility to DOS. DOS are GSA are drafting a MOA.
  • National Foreign Affairs Training Center: Issued the first award ($54,974.17) of eight options for the follow on build-out computer infrastructure drops as part of the fit-out phase of the School of Language Studies' classrooms.
 Major Planned Actions:
  • IBWC: Issue Task Order for Bid-Phase Services/Construction Management for Banker Weir - North Floodway segment in the Lower Reach
  • IBWC: Enter synopses in FedBizOpps for seven anticipated construction contracts
  • Data Center: Meet with DOD officials to discuss situation with BRAC and finally establish if there are possible existing sites.
