 Major Actions Taken to Date:
  • Agency and program-specific draft plans were submitted for review on 05/01/09 and are undergoing finalization.
  • A total of $11,619,139 has been obligated for non-recurring maintenance projects at VA medical facilities to date. This represents a total of 24 awards throughout various states. One obligation in AR for $71,943 , seven obligations in CA totalling $9,002,625, one obligation in FL for $99,900, three obligations in MN totalling $198,322, three obligations in ND totalling $243,900, one obligation in NE for $15,800 , one obligation in NJ for $65,000, four obligations in NY totalling $1,065,293, one obligation in SD for $252,347, one obligation in TN for $40,313, and one obligation in WY for $563,696
  • A total of $73,282 has been obligated by the National Cemetery Administration. One obligation in MO for $48,000, and another obligation in IL for $25,282.
  • VBA continues to hire temporary claims processors. Payroll expenditures of $8,696 have occurred so far.
  • A total of $2,825,734 of the above non recurring maintenance obligations at VA medical facilities are energy related in the states of CA, FL, ND, NY and WY.
