 Major Actions Taken to Date:
  • All ARRA proposed spend plans were approved by Congress.
  • NTIA's TV Converter Coupon Program accepted requests for 430,195 coupons with a value of $17,207,800.
  • NTIA's TV Converter Coupon Program reimbursed retailers for 213,839 coupons with a value of $8,552,223.
  • NTIA TV Converter Coupon Program has cumulatively accepted requests for 7,801,044 coupons with a value of $312,041,760 using ARRA funds.
  • NOAA released Fisheries Survey Vessel 6 synopsis of solicitation (presolicitation required by FAR two weeks prior to RFP release) via Federal Business Opportunities website
  • Census hired 66 partnership staff in the regions.
 Major Planned Actions:
  • May 12, 2009 is one month before the DTV transition deadline. The Department of Commerce is planning various media
  • and outreach events around the date to encourage preparedness for the transition.
  • EDA expects to begin the notification process for at least two ARRA grant awards.
  • Census will continue recruitment of new partnership staff with most hiring to be done in June 2009.
