I am looking for help with readability formulas for Spanish materials.

I am having difficulty with a contracted translation agency in regards to
readability levels of materials translated into Spanish. I'm getting back
documents that have technically correct Spanish, but are still written at a
higher level than what I feel is appropriate for the average reader.
