The Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs (OJP) today announced more than $24 million in awards to enforce state and local underage drinking laws nationwide.

07/29/09 Attorney General Holder Announces $5.5 Million in Recovery Act Grants to Support Arizona Law Enforcement Efforts on the Southwest Border
Attorney General Eric Holder today announced more than $5.5 million in Recovery Act funds will go to Arizona to use in fighting crime and drug trafficking as part of the Justice Department’s Southwest Border Strategy.

The Department of Justice announced today that six law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty were honored posthumously with the Nicholas Sloan Award of Valor.

07/13/09 Attorney General Holder Announces Recovery Act Grant to Save or Create Justice Related Oregon Jobs
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder today announced that more than $13 million in Recovery Act funds will go to the State of Oregon to maintain or increase public safety in the state, while creating or retaining jobs within the law enforcement community.
