Office of Water Releases Final Climate Change Strategy
This National Water Program Strategy: Response to Climate Change provides an overview of the likely effects of climate change on water resources and the nation’s clean water and safe drinking water programs. This final Strategy also describes over 40 specific actions the National Water Program intends to take to adapt program implementation in light of climate change.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Water solicited comment on a public review of the draft National Water Program Strategy: Response to Climate Change from March 2008 through June 10, 2008. This draft document represents the National Water Program’s initial effort to identify potential impacts of climate change for clean water and drinking water programs and define actions to respond to these impacts. A March 28, 2008, memorandum signed by the Assistant Administrator for Water requested comments on the draft strategy.

- On May 2, 2008, Benjamin Grumbles spoke to the American Bar Association's 2008 Eastern Water Resources Conference: "Eastern Water Law – A Climate of Change" about EPA's water and climate change strategy.

Memorandum Creating Office of Water Climate Change Workgroup
A March 1, 2007, memorandum signed by the Assistant Administrator for Water describes the general principles to guide the National Water Program in responding to climate change, proposes the development of a National Water Program strategy on climate change, and announces the formation of a National Water Program Climate Change Workgroup.
