What We Study

Atmospheric scientists at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Va., conduct research from the land, sea, air and space to understand the atmospheric effects caused by volcanic eruptions, industrial pollution, changes in the planet's energy balance and other events. They also support application programs, the worldwide distribution of NASA data and educational outreach activities.
