Initiative Area Coordinator: Ginger Porter
This Initiative Area is tasked with facilitating on-going systems change
and program development efforts within the community that reflect and
respond to emerging and persistent needs affecting the lives of individuals
with disabilities and their families.
Initiative Area Coordinator: Elaine Eclavea
The Health, Wellness, and Prevention Initiative Area aims to facilitate
technical assistance and training efforts which specifically address
health care issues affecting persons with disabilities throughout their
lifespan. Several major activities under this area focus on the development
and implementation of a comprehensive system of supports for infants
and toddlers with or at risk of having substantial developmental delays
and their families.
Initiative Area Coordinator: June Quitugua
The Inclusive Communities Initiative Area is charged with facilitating
activities that provide a variety of training and technical assistance
opportunities that promote the increase of meaningful involvement of
individuals with disabilities in our communities. Included in this Initiative
Area are projects related to assistive technology. This critical component
provides for a continuum of technology and rehabilitation research, training,
and community-based services that promote increased experience and knowledge
of assistive and adaptive devices for individuals with disabilities.
