2007 Wildfires on the Cleveland National Forest
FOREST SERVICE HELPS OUT ON CATALINA WILDFIRE
On May 10, a contingent of 2 strike teams (10 engines) left San
Diego to respond to Catalina Island. The engines assisted the LA
county fire department suppress the Island Fire. The topography
was very steep and fuels were extremely dry and weather was warm.
The Forest Service engines began their trip home on Sunday May 13.

FOREST USE RESTRICTIONS Forest Use Restrictions FAQs
The Cleveland National Forest has implemented a new Forest Use
Restriction System for residents and visitors. Residents and visitors
can call 619-593-2183 (recorded message) to find out what the Forest
Use Restriction Level is on the Cleveland National Forest and what
activities are allowed.
The current Forest Use Restriction is LOW/BAJO. For more information on this level click here/oprime aquí.

and recreation page to determine if the areas are
under annual closures.
