News in this Alert* ACS Design and Methodology ReportThe U.S Census Bureau has just released its first update of the ACS Design and Methodology Report. The Report contains descriptions of the basic design of the ACS and details of the full set of methods and procedures. Last released as a draft report in 2006, this version of the ACS Design and Methodology Report includes updated information reflecting survey changes, modifications, and improvements. Many portions of each chapter have been revised and the methods used to produce the first 2005-2007 ACS 3-year estimates were added. We hope that you find this report helpful and that it will aid in improving your understanding of the ACS statistical design and the methods it uses. Future updates of the ACS Design and Methodology Report will occur at least once every two years to reflect changes and new developments.
