    Call Report Submission Process

Bankers are required to transmit their data through the Internet to the Central Data Repository (CDR). The new business model requires bankers to resolve all edit failures prior to submitting their data to the CDR. This process is called ”data validation.”

Call Report software vendors revised their software to assist bankers in meeting the agencies' new edit and other requirements.

The new processes related to implementing the CDR, described throughout this web site, will provide for a secure and accurate receipt of data by the regulators. Therefore, once Call Report data have been received, re-validated, and accepted by the CDR, they will be made available for general use by Agency analysts, financial institutions, and the public. It is expected that the timeframe for releasing Call Report data will be shortened by a few weeks because of these changes. Clearly, the more current the data, the more useful they are for analysis and planning.

Are you receiving an error message when attempting to submit your institution’s Call Report data? If so, the Security Awareness Training (SAT) certificate you received last summer may have expired.

As you may recall, during global enrollment 2005, each new account holder was required to complete the CDR's online SAT prior to accessing the system. The SAT certificate expires once a year; therefore, some accounts created last summer during global enrollment have expired. If your certificate has expired it must be renewed before you will be able to successfully submit Call Report data for your institution.

In order to renew your certificate you must complete the SAT in the CDR.

If your certificate did not expire prior to submitting June 2006 data, it will most likely expire prior to submitting September 2006 data.
