Wahlund principle
The deficit of heterozygotes in subdivided populations, compared to expected Hardy–Weinberg proportions, due to subdivision into small panmictic (random mating) demes within the large population.

Wright–Fisher model
A random mating population model with complete random union of gametes (including the possibility of selfing).
