About the ProgramStrategic Plan of the Contaminant Biology ProgramThe Mission of the Contaminant Biology Program (CBP) is to provide high quality, objective scientific information on exposure and effects of environmental contaminants to biotic resources for management, protection and restoration the Nation's biotic resources and in particular, the trust resources of the Department of the Interior (DOI). The five-year plan lays out a framework of goals and objectives and a strategy to reach those objectives. This strategic document was produced using a widely inclusive process involving USGS research community and numerous partner agencies.
