Eligibility Requirements

 

A student is eligible under the Student Educational Employment Program (SEEP) if they are:

  • U.S. citizens or a national (resident of American Samoa or Swains Island). U.S. citizenship is required for conversion under the SCEP component of SEEP. FDIC does not sponsor work visas on behalf of student applicants.
  • Enrolled or accepted as a degree-seeking student.
  • At least the minimum age requirement by federal, state, or local laws and standards governing the employment of minors.
  • Take at least a half-time academic or vocational and technical course load in an accredited high school, technical or vocational school, 2-year or 4-year college or university, graduate school or professional.
