Circuit Judge Moore to give Luncheon Address at the George Washington Law Symposium on Intellectual Property on May 12, 2009Circuit Judge Kimberly Moore will speak at the first Law Symposium on Intellectual Property presented by the George

Noted historian and author Anthony S. Pitch will give the inaugural lecture in the Federal Circuit Historical
Society's Lecture Series at 3:00pm on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 in the Dolley Madison House. Mr. Pitch's topic is "Oh, the Horror: Lafayette Square and Lincoln's
Assassination." The lecture is based on Pitch's widely-acclaimed new book titled, They Have Killed Papa Dead. There will be a reception in the Dolley Madison

Judges of the Federal Circuit Sitting by Designation for 2007, 2008 and 2009
The Chief Justice assigns circuit judges to sit by designation with another circuit or district court pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 291. Thus far in 2009, one judge of the Federal
Circuit has sat by designation with another circuit. In calendar year 2008, four Federal Circuit judges sat by designation with four sister circuits, while one Federal Circuit
Judge presided over a trial in a federal district court. Five judges of the Federal Circuit had the opportunity to sit by designation with three sister circuits during calendar
year 2007. Lists of the Federal Circuit judges who were assigned to sit by designation are available for 2007,
2008 and 2009.
Visiting Judges Sitting with the Federal Circuit
Since September 2006, thirty-eight judges from circuit and district courts around the country have sat with the Federal Circuit.
