Saturday, April 11, 7p.m. "Bighorn Sheep"
Kirk Oldham & Becky Manly, Colorado Division of Wildlife Managers, will take you through the history of this species in Colorado, its habitat, biology, management and the progress of the recent reintroduction into Grand County.

The bighorn sheep is Colorado’s official state mammal and the symbol of the Colorado Division of Wildlife. These magnificent animals draw a lot of attention from residents and visitors alike when they are seen in their alpine habitat. Our state boasts the largest population of bighorn sheep anywhere.

Come take a look at wildness, space and the mountain lion. Learn what to do if you should meet The Cat.
 
Saturday, May 23, 7 p.m. “ The Art of Seeing Rocky Mountain National Park”
Join artist Jim Disney as he presents a discussion about finding artistic inspiration in the natural beauty of Rocky Mountain National Park combined with a digital presentation of photographs, paintings and drawings. Jim will discuss what has inspired him to create so many incredible images of the park. He has a true love of the park and has been a tireless advocate on a variety of park issues.
 

The Kawuneechee Visitor Center is located in Rocky Mountain National Park, 1.5 miles north of Grand Lake, CO, on Trail Ridge Road (Highway 34).

Did You Know?
Daily during the summer, Rocky's custodial crew cleans 102 toilets in comfort stations at trailheads and along roads. They also clean around 100 toilets in campground comfort stations, 30 visitor center toilets, and 35 toilets for park staff. That's 267 toilets cleaned every day of the summer!
