About the Mental Health Work Group

Our vision: Mental health is maximized across the population.

Our mission: To foster collaboration and advancement in the field of mental health in support of CDC's public health mission.

Our work: The CDC Mental Health Workgroup includes over 100 members representing multiple disciplines, divisions and centers across CDC. CDC staff members participating in this work group do so voluntarily as an add on to their other CDC responsibilities because of their commitment to advancing the field of mental health within the context of the overall mission of CDC.

* Note: The CDC Mental Health Work Group does not reside in any one division or center at CDC, but rather is a collaborative CDC effort. CDC staff from the Division of Adult and Community Health in the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion provides technical support and maintains this site's content.
