Hi Kids!

Welcome to my neck of the woods! My name is Albert and I'm an endangered Delmarva fox squirrel. I live at Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge with the rest of my wild friends. Our Refuge Manager is working hard to make sure that endangered species like me have a home for the future and that all the other animals have a home here, too!

If you complete the required tasks and you've got what it takes, then you too could receive a refuge manager certificate and an official manager badge just like the one our manager wears! A Goose Story (500KB PDF file) is a wonderful tale about a group of Canada geese that are planning to migrate from James Bay, Canada down to Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge for the winter.

So you want to be a Junior Refuge Manager? Visit our Manager Test page to answer the test questions. Once you're done, print out your answers and send them to Blackwater Refuge along with your "Management Project" (see the test page for details), and we'll send you a Junior Refuge Manager prize.
