- This a mapping and listing tool that shows sites where pollution is being or has been cleaned up throughout the United States. It maps, lists and provides cleanup progress profiles for: sites, facilities and properties that have been contaminated by hazardous materials and are being, or have been, cleaned up under EPA's Superfund, RCRA and/or Brownfields programs.
- Sites
- Sites includes information about Superfund sites, which are uncontrolled or abandoned places where hazardous waste is located, possibly affecting local ecosystems or people. Sites is your one-stop shop for everything you want to know about a specific Superfund site or group of sites.
- NPL Site

Record of Decision (RODS) Database
- RODS is a full-text and searchable database of Superfund Record of Decisions which document the chosen cleanup decision.
- Search CERCLIS Database - Superfund Profiles
- CERCLIS is the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability
Information System. CERCLIS contains information on hazardous waste sites,
potential hazardous waste sites, and remedial activities across the nation,
including sites that are on the NPL or being considered for the NPL. Site profiles are provided for all NPL sites.
- Search the CERCLIS Data Element Dictionary
- The DED provides definitions and descriptions of elements, tables, and
codes from the CERCLIS database used by the Superfund program.
Using the DED, you can look up terms by table
name or element name, or search the entire dictionary by keyword.
- Search Archived Sites
- Archived sites have been removed from the inventory of CERCLIS
sites. Archived status indicates that, to the best of EPA's knowledge,
assessment at a site has been completed and that no further steps
will be taken to list this site on the NPL,
unless information indicates this decision was not appropriate or other
considerations require a recommendation for listing at a later time. This
decision does
not
necessarily mean that there is no hazard associated with a given site;
it only means that, based upon available information, the location is not
judged
to be a potential NPL site.
- Emergency
Response Information
- This database contains information on accidents and spills reported to the US Coast Guard's National Response Center.
