The Sustainable Communities Webinar Series was created for local governments and communities to learn about how to implement sustainability strategies. The webinars will emphasize peer exchange, presentations from experts, and use of decision support tools.  Over the course of a year, the Sustainable Communities Webinar Series will address many topics featured in the handbook, Planning for a Sustainable Future - A Guide for Local Governments.  Check this webpage for the latest schedule of upcoming webinars and links to archived event information.

What are Webinars?

Webinars include an audio presentation by a guest speaker in conjunction with a power point presentation. Participants can pose questions and receive answers after the speakers give their presentations. Following the close of the event, webinar materials can be posted to a website for additional access. Webinars are an inexpensive way to share information with a large audience. Webinars minimize the need for travel and the environmental impacts of travel, as well as the costs for hosts and participants.
