NAESP will nurture and support all principals to demonstrate the vision, courage, and expertise to lead and advocate for effective learning communities in which all children reach their highest potential.

Voice of and for the Principal
NAESP will lead and vigorously promote excellence in the principalship and work with State Affiliates to educate and train members to be effective advocates for principals at the federal and state levels.

Principal Autonomy
NAESP, working with State Affiliates and other education partners, will develop model legislation to enhance the principal's authority, autonomy, and responsibility to lead schools.

Equity for all Children
NAESP will develop and broker resources for members to work effectively at the local, state, and federal levels toward achieving equity in public education.
