RCRA Brownfield Pilots
In 1999, EPA launched a RCRA Brownfields Pilot program to encourage and showcase innovative approaches to RCRA Clean-ups at potential RCRA Brownfields. The first four Pilots were initiated in 2000. A second round of five Pilots was initiated in the summer of 2001. 2000 RCRA BF Pilots: In 2000, four RCRA Brownfield Pilots were launched. In September 2001, EPA released a report summarizing the pilots, their innovative approaches and lessons learned.

2001 RCRA BF Pilots: During the summer of 2001, five additional RCRA Brownfield Pilots were launched, bringing the total pilots up to nine. Information on results and lessons learned will be posted here when the pilots are completed.
