Important information regarding MedXPress
  • If an airman uses MedXPress and you import the application, the airmen is not required to sign an 8500-8 form. An electronic signature is captured when the applicant completes a MedXPress application. When you import the application and transmit it to us, the process of storing the electronic signature is complete.
  • When an applicant has used MedXPress you should not mail a hard copy to the Aerospace Medical Certification Division (AMCD). If the applicant completes the application using the paper 8500-8 form, you should mail the hard copy after the exam is transmitted.
  • When you import a MedXPress application AMCS will assign a GX certificate number to the exam. If you print a certificate through AMCS you should leave the GX number in the system. If you type a certificate using a certificate from your supply of 8500-8 forms, you should replace the GX number with the GG number of the form you used.
