Recognition
One of the key benefits of membership in Performance Track is the recognition that EPA provides for members' commitment to environmental excellence.
- Members are listed on the EPA Performance Track website.
- EPA holds an Annual Event, typically attended by 500 people, where EPA's Administrator and officials recognize the accomplishments of Performance Track members.
- EPA headquarters and regional offices issue press releases to announce new members.
- Upon request, EPA sends letters to local elected officials indicating a facility's selection/participation in the program. Examples of congratulatory letters sent by state governors' offices are now available.
- EPA strategically places articles in trade journals, newspapers, and electronic press highlighting Performance Track member accomplishments and goals. This publicity provides recognition for the environmental achievements of Performance Track members within their industry.
- Through EPA's efforts, articles on Performance Track members have appeared in more than 50 trade publications, including such magazines as Pollution Engineering; Environmental Protection; Pollution Prevention Review; EM, the Air and Waste Association's magazine for environmental managers; Chemical Week; Chemistry Business; Ceramic Industry; Coatings World; and American Printer.
- Performance Track provides additional public recognition to members that have achieved particularly outstanding results in environmental performance, mentoring, and outreach. Recipients to date are listed on the Exceptional Results page.
- Performance Track created a Performance Track
Corporate Leader designation to recognize companies that
are substantially involved in Performance Track at the
facility level and committed to environmental excellence at
the corporate level. For more information, please visit the
Corporate Leaders page.
